Distracted Driving Suspected in Pedestrian’s Death
Crystal, MN (KROC-AM News) - Investigators suspect distracted driving was a factor in a deadly crash involving a pedestrian today in a northwest Twin Cities suburb.
A statement issued by the Crystal Police Department indicates two vehicles were involved in a crash and one of them struck a pedestrian. Despite the attempted lifesaving measures of an onlooker and emergency personnel, the victim died from his injuries at the hospital.
The name of the victim has not been released. The State Patrol is assisting with the investigation of the incident, which was reported around 12:10 PM at the intersection just off Highway 100 and only a little over a mile from the North Memorial Medical Center.
