Colorado Family Survives Crash Near Stewartville
A Colorado family was fortunate to survive a collision with a semi Saturday afternoon around 5 o’clock at the junction of Highway 30 and County road 1 just east of Stewartville.
The truck was eastbound on 30 when the crash occurred. According to the State Patrol the driver, Aiman Ali Alyahya (29) and a female passenger Abrar Aljurbua (age 27) from Evans, Colorado were transported to St Mary’s hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Their one year old daughter was not injured.
The driver of the semi, William Loren Wright of Chatfield was not injured.
Earlier around 9:30 Saturday morning, a 60 year old Atlantic, Iowa man, Rodney Plummer was injured when his PT Cruiser left the road and rolled on Highway 44 south of Hokah, MN in Houston County.
According to the State Patrol report, Plummer was taken to Gunderson Lutheran with non-life threatening injuries. A male passenger was not injured.
