Chatfield Man Accused of Showing Up For Custody Exchange Drunk
Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Chatfield man is accused of being intoxicated when he drove to the parking lot of the Stewartville American Legion for a routine custody exchange.
A spokesman for the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department says the father of the two children says he detected the odor of alcohol on Brandon Alder and contacted law enforcement after witnessing the 23-year-old man nearly get into a traffic crash while driving out of the parking lot. Deputies located Alder in the parking of another bar and the arrest report says a preliminary test put his blood-alcohol-concentration at .14.
Alder is expected to be charged with DWI and child endangerment.
