Byron Man Injured in Scooter Crash

Rushford, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Byron man was injured in a scooter crash Saturday afternoon.

The State Patrol says 53-year-old Scott Sendek was on a Yamaha Scooter when he lost control while traveling west on Highway in Fillmore County. The crash report indicates the scooter went off the roadway about a mile and a half west of Rushford just before 3 PM.

He was transported by ambulance to a hospital in La Crosse with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. The State Patrol says he was wearing a helmet.

Reno, MN (KROC-AM News) - A crash on Friday sent a Houston County teenager to the same La Crosse Hospital.

The State Patrol says 18-year-old Coltan Halvorson of Houston was driving north on Highway 26 when he lost control and his car rolled in the ditch. The crash was reported around 12:30 PM near the town of Reno along the Mississippi River a few miles north of the Iowa border.

His injuries were also described as non-life-threatening.
