Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester motorists are being warned of some additional road closures due to downtown construction.

The city says the intersection of 1st Avenue and 2nd Street Southwest will be closed from early Wednesday morning until next Monday. Space for making a U-turn for traffic headed north on 1st Avenue Southwest will be available just south of the intersection.

Beginning Monday, the intersection of West Center Street and 1st Avenue will be closed to east-west traffic. Right turns from Center Street onto northbound 1st Avenue Northwest and from 1st Avenue Northwest to westbound West Center Street will be allowed during the closure, which is scheduled until September 14th.

Both closures are due to work related to the Heart of the City Construction project.
