Bullet Fired Into Rochester Woman’s Car Found on Driver’s Seat
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police say a woman left her home Monday morning to discover someone had shot out the windshield of her car.
Rochester police responded to a call from the 33-year-old woman and confirmed that there had been a shooting outside the home in the 400 block of 27th Street Northeast. A spokesman says the bullet responsible for the damage were found on the driver's seat of the vehicle and in addition to the glass damage there was a chip on the dashboard caused by the bullet.
The woman told the officer she had no idea why someone would shoot at her vehicle and indicated the shooting must have occurred sometime between 8:30 Sunday evening and 9 a.m. Monday. A review of Police Department records did not find any reports of gunfire in that area during that time span.
