Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The conditional bail amount for a Rochester murder suspect has been significantly reduced.

An Olmsted County judge earlier this week lowered the conditional bail for 22-year-old Ty'Jhuan Anderson from $1 million to $250,000. His bail for release without conditions remains set at $4 million. At last check, he was still being held in the Olmsted County jail awaiting trial on second-degree murder, attempted murder, and illegal possession of a firearm charges.

Anderson was arrested and formally charged in March of last year with a shooting that occurred on October 30, 2020, that left a Rochester teenager dead and a 20-year-old man in critical condition. 18-year-old Mikayal Gordon was killed in the shooting, which took place at the Village of Essex apartment complex.

The criminal complaint states Anderson was in a vehicle stopped by Rochester police shortly after the shooting was reported. The court document describes Anderson as being "belligerent and appeared intoxicated." He told police he had been at a downtown bar before going to the apartment complex where the shooting took place.

The charges say investigators later obtained Snapchat videos recorded at a party in the apartment that showed Anderson "drinking heavily and brandishing a pistol that appears to be identical to the pistol located outside of Essex Park." Investigators suspect the gun was the weapon used in the shooting. A witness reported that an argument broke out in the hallway at the apartment complex involving Anderson and the victims just before the shooting occurred. The witness also indicated Anderson was the shooter.

He is due back in court on May 2 for a hearing to contest some of the evidence used to charge him with Gordon's murder and the wounding of the other man.
