‘American Idol’ Holding Special Auditions in Minnesota This Month
If you've always thought you could be the next American Idol, you now have a special chance to audition here in Minnesota later this month.
The reality competition singing show American Idol has been making singers famous for over 20 years now, from Kelly Clarkson to Carrie Underwood, Scotty McCreery to Adam Lambert and more. And, if you'd like a shot at being the next Idol, producers of the ABC show are holding a special audition for residents of the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
And, unlike previous audition 'cattle calls,' where you had to stand in line at a big venue, (like Mariucci Arena on the University of Minnesota campus, which was the site of American Idol auditions back in 2018) and HOPE you'd get to sing in front of producers to land a spot on the show, this year's auditions are once again being held virtually, online, with Idol Across America.
According to a release from American Idol, here's more information about the special Minnesota Idol Across America audition date, which is set for Wednesday, August 24th, 2022:
WHAT: Open call virtual Zoom auditions for ‘AMERICAN IDOL’ in MINNESOTA
• During this season’s first round of ‘American Idol,’ hopefuls can sign up to audition face-to-face in front of producers and receive real-time feedback for a chance at making Idol history and being crowned the next ‘American Idol’ as we enter season six on ABC-TV.
• For the third year in a row, “Idol Across America,” the live virtual nationwide search for the next superstar, features auditions days for all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., making auditions easier than ever.
