Air Force Veteran Raising Money for Wounded Warriors Project, Walking from Minnesota to Florida
An Air Force veteran, Jerry Meadows, is walking with his oxygen tank from Minnesota to the Wounded Warrior Project headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida to raise money for the Wounded Warriors Project.
There are actually multiple reasons Jerry is walking this 1,400-mile-long trip. Not only to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warriors Project but also to show fellow veterans that there are still people out there who care and to show people with disabilities that they can overcome obstacles.
WCCO writes that Jerry's wife, Virginia, is accompanying him in their 1996 Ford van and he walks 10 to 14 miles per day. They are expecting to reach Jacksonville by September or October.
