Wisconsin Police Officer Resigns After Getting Caught ‘Getting Busy’ In The Back Of Squad Car
This is definitely one of those stories where all you can do is shake your head and say to yourself what were you possibly thinking? When the thrill of doing a certain action could put your job and career in jeopardy how does the average intelligent person think that they will get away with this?
Welcome to the world of Lieutenant Reginald Patterson or I should say, former Lieutenant Patterson who was a long-standing Police Officer with the Madison Wisconsin Police Department. According to the City of Madison’s website "Patterson started his career with the Madison Police Department in 2006 worked Central nights patrol before joining the Crime Prevention Gang Unit. Lt. Patterson was a detective for seven years working financial crimes, the Violent Crime Unit, and the Dane County Narcotics Task Force. Prior to becoming the West District Patrol Lieutenant, Lt Patterson worked as the Fifth Detail Officer in Charge. "
According to wearegreenbay.com back in September of this year, a bystander caught Peterson on camera engaging in sexual activity with a woman in the back of a squad car that belonged to the Madison Wisconsin Police Department in a Farm and Fleet parking lot in Madison Wisconsin. The department was ready to dismiss Patterson for violating a number of department policies. Patterson resigned from the force last Wednesday.
Again, this is a man who has been a police officer since 2006 and worked his way up to Lieutenant and not only decides to do this in a city squad car but in a parking lot of a big box store? It's almost like he wanted to get caught. Lesson learned, even when you are the law you are not above it.
