Young Girl Kicked in Head by Horse

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News)  - A young girl who was getting ready for a horse ride near Oronoco Wednesday was airlifted to St. Mary’s after she was kicked in the head.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Scott Behrns says the 7 year old North Carolina girl was visiting a relative’s home, located in the 8,000 block of 11th Ave NW.  Behrns says as the girl was preparing to go for a ride around 1:30 p.m., the horse suddenly turned and kicked her. Behrns says she suffered a serious injury. No word yet on her medical condition.
