You Can Now Rent Your Own Private Island on a Lake Here in Minnesota
If you're looking to get away this summer, how about renting your own private island right here in Minnesota?
Seeing as Minnesota is, of course, the Land of 10,000 Lakes, it only makes sense that there would also be a few islands on those lakes, right? But did you know you can now rent your OWN private island?
That's right, Jackrabbit Island, located on Minnesota's Lake Vermillion (a little over 4 and a half hours north of Rochester, near Tower) is available to rent. According to the Airbnb post, Island hosted by James, your stay on Jackrabbit Island comes complete with a main 2-bedroom cabin that can sleep up to 9 people.
This quaint and semi-rustic family-built cabin is situated on a 13-acre private island on beautiful Lake Vermilion.
Inside you will find beds for 9, electricity, a full bath, very clean well water, a great room with a kitchen, dining room, and sitting area.Outside the cabin, you will find a dock, screen house, a bonfire pit, and trails to enjoy 13 private acres of woods that include birds, squirrels, chipmunks, flowers, plants, and deer!
Here's the thing though, seeing as the cabin is on Jack Rabbit Island, you can only access the cabin by boat! (Don't worry, though, the Airbnb listing says the owner has a pontoon boat you can also rent.)
A stay on Jackrabbit Island is currently listed for $386 a night, and is booked through most of July and August, though a few dates are still available in September. You can get all the info HERE, and keep scrolling to check out the amazing pictures below!
