Woman Blinds Herself… On Purpose. In a VERY Painful Way

This is, quite possibly, the dumbest thing I've ever seen. (No pun intended.) This woman has felt a need to be blind, since she was a child. Apparently, she has a condition that makes her feel she has a need to be handicapped.

I think the easier way to go about it (rather then put drain cleaner in your eyes) would be to just wear a blindfold wherever you go. Completely pain free. I imagine me telling her my idea and her sitting there for a minute or so and saying, after a long sigh, "Hmm. I guess I never thought of that," and being really sad.
