Who Put Up These Passive Aggressive Notes Around The Office?
When I rolled into work this morning, there was controversy brewing…literally figuratively.
Someone left that note above the coffeemaker, which certain coworkers of mine found to be Minnesota Passive Aggressive. First off, let me point out that the note does make sense. When you take the last bit of coffee, you should turn off the heater, because there’s no reason to heat an empty pot. But what made this note hilarious was the fact that a few of my coworkers were talking about it all morning long (I think it was the part about turning the switch left that really set them off). James even wrote a blog about it!
That’s when I decided to be evil and write five fake passive aggressive notes and scatter them throughout the office. I tried to put them in places that would create maximum anger.
I had my coworker Becca leave these two notes in the women’s bathroom:
I put this note on our new water cooler (this one is pure evil):
Becca put this note on our boss's desk, while I did the same on mine to throw off the scent:
Some monster left this on our work mini-fridge:
Sadly, I heard laughter coming from the hallway 15 minutes after the notes were put up. My plan failed. But on the bright side, the Stinky Fairy isn't around this afternoon!
