Sunday's Super Bowl LVI pits the Cincinnati Bengals against the Los Angeles Rams. So who does Minnesota want to win the big game?

While Minnesota's own NFL team isn't represented in the Super Bowl again this year (sorry about that), that doesn't mean the Land of 10,000 Lakes doesn't have a strong interest in who we want to win the 56th annual NFL championship.

The Bengals represent the AFC and won a nail-biter in overtime against the Kansas City Chiefs to advance to the big game, while the Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game to advance to the Super Bowl.

But when it comes to picking a team to root for, who does the North Star State want to win? That's the question the team over at the online wagering site betonline.ag set to find out. They looked at geotagged Twitter data over the last week and tracked fan hashtags for each team in every state.

For example, #RuleTheJungle, #WhoDey, and #RuleItAll for Cincinnati, and #RamsHouse, #RamsNation, and #GoRams for Los Angeles. They tracked over 180,000 tweets to get their results.

And here in Minnesota, we're firmly rooting for... the Cincinnati Bengals. That's not exactly a surprise, seeing as here in the Midwest it seems we tend to like other teams from our neck of the woods-- especially one that's the underdog, as the Bengals are this year.

We're not alone, either. The survey showed that 33 other states, including both North and South Dakota and Iowa, are rooting for the Bengals. That compares to just 17 states, including my home state of Wisconsin, who are rooting for the Rams.
