Plainview,  MN (KROC-AM News) - A Wabasha woman suffered serious injuries Tuesday in a traffic wreck near Plainview. 

 

The Minnesota State Patrol says 62-year-old Karen Thrift was a passenger in a vehicle that collided head-on with an oncoming car. The State Patrol says Thrift was taken to St Marys Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle she was in was driven by 34-year-old Erick Loera of St. Charles. He and the other driver - 63-year-old Connie Shimek of Nora Spring, Iowa - suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The wreck happened on Highway 42 north of Plainview around 10:00 AM. It was foggy at the time.
