Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man is headed back to prison for his conviction on a felony charge stemming from his arrest in February after police responded to reports of a man threatening people with a shotgun at a downtown Rochester bar. The officers were a told the man had pointed the gun at a person’s head and racked the weapon before he left the business.

Police later located 36-year-old Jordan Blevins and prosecutors charged him a felony drug count and illegal possession of a firearm. He was scheduled to stand trial this week, but instead, he entered into a plea agreement and admitted to the weapons charge in exchange for the dismissal of the drug charge.

Almost immediately after entering the guilty plea, Blevins was sentenced to 63 months in prison. Blevins previously served an over 8 prison term for a shooting incident in 2010 during which a number of shots were fired at homes and inside a residence. That incident ended when Blevins shot himself in the arm while attempting to kill his dog.
