The Minnesota Vikings formally introduced Mike Zimmer as the team's new head coach at a news conference on Friday. The 57-year-old Zimmer describes himself as a Midwestern guy who grew up in Illinois. He also noted he has a "chip on his shoulder" and expects the Vikings to play tough football. Zimmer has been the defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals since 2008, and while he has 20 years of assistant coaching experience in the NFL, he has never been a head coach.  He takes over for the fired Leslie Frazier and is only the 9th person to hold the Vikings head coaching job.
