I've got to admit, when I first started really looking into The Pretty Reckless, I was skeptical about their talent as a band. I'll admit that I made the mistake of seeing them as a golden opportunity for Taylor Momsen to capitalize on her fame. Maybe that's exactly what she did, but regardless, The Pretty Reckless works.

I wasn't a fan of their first sets of works, but Who You Selling For? has drastically changed my mind. This album is full of Marilyn Manson (I'm talking Anti-Christ era here) and Nine Inch Nails influences (see "Mad Love" if you want to understand where I'm going with that), and it isn't afraid to show off a variety of skills. They even get a little funky with "Wild City", which surprised me.

Taylor takes a commanding lead with the lyric "you can have my body, but you can't have me" in "Prisoner" too.

Simply put, The Pretty Reckless have offered a variety of entertainment here. I like that this album is full of sporadic influence bursts on each song. No two sound alike. You guys already know "Take Me Down" best, and I still feel that song showcases everyone's talent in the band best.

Take a listen today! Here's what was on my phone this morning.
