Urgent Need for Blankets at Rochester Organization

As I'm writing this, Southeast Minnesota is in the middle of a pretty massive heat wave so asking for you to look in your closets and storage for this particular item might seem odd.  But Rochester, Minnesota, an organization in town needs our help ASAP.

Just the other day, I was at the Salvation Army in Rochester and had an opportunity to meet some of the individuals in our community that are helped by this nonprofit.  Unfortunately, there is an item that everyone needs that is missing.  Blankets.

You may know about The Salvation Army because of the services they provide during disasters.  For example, The Salvation Army's Disaster Services Team is getting ready to head to Kentucky to help with the flooding that recently happened.  But The Salvation Army also helps in the following areas too: providing housing, curing hunger, empowering youth, equipping families, sharing God's love, helping people combat addiction, rent and utility assistance, the Good Samaritan Clinic, and more.
