It's tough financially to live alone. But if you're living alone in Minnesota you might want to consider moving to one of these two cities: Minneapolis or St. Paul. Apparently, they're some of the cheapest places to live alone in the entire country!

SmartAsset compiled a list of the most affordable places to live alone in the US. To put together this list they looked at the "median rents, the number of studio and one-bedroom apartments as a percentage of all homes, median earnings for full-time workers, overall cost of living and unemployment rate."

Here's the full list they came up with along with the median monthly rent (which is only part of the equation that went into ranking these cities):

15. Arlington, VA (tie) - $1,667

15. St. Paul, MN (tie) - $763

14. Oklahoma City, OK - $684

13. San Antonio, TX - $776

12. Austin, TX - $1,063

11. Boise, ID - $724
