Two Dead in Crash Near Twin Cities Airport
Minneapolis,MN (KROC AM) -- Two are dead and three others seriously hurt in a crash near the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport around 8:30 Friday night.
According to the Minnesota State patrol, a 34-year-old Savage, Minnesota man was by himself, heading the wrong way on westbound highway 5 on the ramp to 494 when he struck a vehicle with five people inside head-on. He was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the other car, 51-year-old Dawn Chiodo, of Bloomington, was pronounced dead at the scene. One passenger, 21-year-old Dylan Bailey, also of Bloomington, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she later died. Two others from Richfield are at HCMC listed in serious condition and a two-year-old boy was transported to the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's hospital in serious condition.
