Two Arrested in Rochester Police Prostitution Sting
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Two people from Wisconsin were busted Monday as part of a prostitution sting by the Rochester Police Dept.
A spokesman says an undercover officer responded to a suspicious online ad and met a woman at a Rochester motel. The woman - 21-year-old Alexis Sullivan of Sparta, WI - was taken into custody.
Officers also spotted a man sitting in a car near the motel and brought him in for questioning. He was eventually charged with promoting prostitution. He has been identified as 33-year-old Nicholas Nelson of Milwaukee. A second woman in the car with Nelson was brought in but then released without being charged.
It’s suspected Nelson and Sullivan had earlier been involved in prostitution activity in North Dakota.
