Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - It was a close call for an Olmsted County deputy when a tree suddenly crashed onto a rural Rochester road.

Deputy Jay Clemens was responding to a call around 12:30 PM Monday and was driving in the 400 block of 60th Ave SW when the tree began falling onto the roadway. Clemens was able to swerve but some of the branches still struck his vehicle.
The tree damaged the vehicle’s emergency light rack, hood, windshield, and doors. The damage estimate wasn’t immediately available.

Clemens wasn’t injured.
