Today is "National Fishing Day." It's the perfect opportunity for beginners to get out on the lake or river and try out fishing for the first time.  If you already have your fishing license, you can take someone out that doesn't normally go fishing because it's peak fishing season in Minnesota.

I mean, c'mon. We've got over 10,000 lakes!

Before you head out though, and if you haven't already, Make sure to get your license (or renew it) at the Minnesota Dept. of Natural Resources website.

Once you're on the site, you can just pick your license or permit you want to buy, make your payment and print it off right there. It's that simple.

The best part is, you don't have to stop somewhere on your way to the lake to get your license. Once you do all the other stuff mentioned above, you just print it out right at your home.

Hit up THIS link and get going. The weather is perfect today!
