There has been a slight change in Walmart's return policy. That is, for several states. Returns are temporarily paused in Arkansas, California, Illinois and South Carolina. Due to local ordinances throughout the state of Minnesota, returns will not be allowed on these certain items. This goes for New Jersey also.

What are the restricted items?  in Minnesota and the above mentioned states, these are the items that are, for now, not returnable;

Food

Paper goods

Home cleaning supplies

Laundry soap

Pharmacy (what? people actually bring drugs back?)

Health and Beauty

Apparel

I guess, this has ticked a lot of Walmart customers off a little. However, there is a way to return these items and get your money back, you'll just have to put a bit more effort into it.

Walmart does give you the opportunity to return items online if you have a receipt. here is what you need to do. Go to the Walmart app or to their website walmart.com and simply fill out a form for a return on your item or items.  So if you are in a restricted state, as we are, simply return your stuff to Walmart online.

If for some reason, you are unable to use this online option for returns, Walmart says to just hold onto your items.  Walmart will extend the return times on the non returnable items for up to 6 weeks. So, hang onto your stuff and wait for the return policy to get back to normal.
