Earlier today, The Foo Fighters announced they were coming to Minnesota next summer for a huge outdoor show. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band unveiled a bunch of 2022 dates including a stop at the home of the Minnesota Golden Gopher Football Team -  Huntington Bank Stadium.

Tickets were supposed to go on sale this Friday morning at 10:00 AM. Unfortunately, they won't and the band won't be coming to Minnesota for that show. Shortly after learning about the concert, we were stunned by a follow-up announcement from the band. The Foo Fighters released a statement saying they won't be performing at that stadium next summer. Read their full statement below.

We apologize for any inconvenience

The Foo Fighters announced earlier today that they would be playing a show at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on August 3rd, 2022 but have since canceled that performance.

The band released this statement when canceling the Minnesota stadium show:

Due to Huntington Bank Stadium’s refusal to agree to the band’s Covid policies, Foo Fighters are not going to be able to play at that venue. We apologize for any inconvenience and are working on finding a suitable replacement — one that will prioritize the health and safety of everyone working and attending the show.

I would love to see the Foo Fighters so I hope by "suitable replacement" they mean another venue here in Minnesota. We'll keep you posted if and when we hear more.
