The Duck Became a Mother Over Mother’s Day Weekend

For the last few weeks, we've had a visitor. A female duck outside our studio had built a nest. Well, the eggs hatched over the weekend.  How appropriate that they hatched on Mother's Day weekend. RIGHT!?!?!

She would sit on those eggs for HOURS, only leaving the nest later in the night to go find food, I assume.

Well, now she can move...so fly, mother duck. FLY.

If I learned anything from this, it's that you DO NOT mess with a mother duck. Be sure to crank the volume so you can hear me scream.
