Back in April, Mikkey Dee of Motörhead was recruited by the Scorpions to be their drummer for a US tour. Today, we found out that he's been selected to keep that spot permanently!

So, this move wasn't exactly a shocker. I'm happy about for another reason - it means there's no chance for a Motörhead reunion either. Their can't be, now that Lemmy is gone. However, this seals that chapter for good - it means Mikkey won't try to resurrect the band himself.

For those of you having a Spinal Tap moment asking "what happened to the old drummer?" James Kotak didn't die. However, he did seek medical attention back in April, thus the reason Mikkey stepped in. James and the Scorpions apparently separated on a positive note, but, we don't know if he is still seeking medical attention for whatever was going on with him earlier this year.
