Officials say it appears a 65-year-old man killed his 27-year-old wife and then himself.

The bolt of lightning and subsequent fire occurred while a line of thunderstorms swept across Minnesota on Wednesday evening.

The rural Randolph woman has been missing since July 6.

The victim's body was recovered Saturday evening.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office describes him as a "person of interest."

The State Patrol is also reporting the other driver went through a red light.

He claimed the victim strangled herself.

Since the closure announcement, wedding venues across the state are opening their doors and arms to the affected couples.

He was 17 years old at the time.

The prosecution objected.
