Suspected Stoned Motorist Nearly Hits Rochester Police Car

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Note to Rochester motorists who run stop signs and nearly collide with police cars - make sure you don’t have illegal drugs in your vehicle.

A Rochester patrol officer was nearly hit by a vehicle that ran a stop sign around 9:00 PM Thursday. The officer had to hit the brakes to avoid a collision.

The officer stopped the driver and smelled a strong odor of marijuana. The driver admitted smoking pot and a search of his vehicle turned up some marijuana and a bag containing a pound of THC edibles.  A loaded handgun was also found in the vehicle.

Arrested was 20-year-old Nick En of Rochester.
