Stewartville Man Sent to Prison For Rochester Home Invasion
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Stewartville man charged with taking part in a violent home invasion in Rochester in July has been sent to prison.
26-year-old Matthew Bettridge and a friend man were accused of forcing their into a home occupied by a man and two women.
Police say the two men roughed up the occupants after they were told there was no safe in the residence. The male victim was knocked to the floor and punched and kicked in the face. The intruders took the man’s phone and left.
The victims knew the other man and he was later apprehended.
Bettridge pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge and has been sentenced to 45 months in prison.
