Steven Avery Wants WHO to Play Him in a Movie?

Steven Avery, in prison for the murder of Teresa Halbach, was on Dr. Phil the other day and apparently, Steven Avery fancies himself a looker. Steven Avery told Dr. Phil that if Hollywood ever makes a movie about him, he would like Brad Pitt to play him. Now, I guess if you're just going for the acting portion and the story itself, sure. Why not. He's a fine actor. But, a lot of times, they like the star to at least resemble the person they're playing. Right? Well, Steven, you do NOT look anything like Brad Pitt or vise versa.

I've taken the liberty of putting together a small list of people that actually may be able to pull off playing Avery.

    Zach Galifianakis

    Just look at this picture. They're practically brothers from another mother. Or maybe separated at birth. I think Zach Galifianakis is a great actor, on top of it. So, win, win!

    Danny McBride

    He's funny, women may find him charming and he's not a bad actor. Certainly likeable.

    Jonah Hill

    This one I'm still on the fence about. We've seen him play serious roles and I think his portrayal will be Oscar worthy.

    Phillip Seymour Hoffman

    He gets a post mortem mention. Even though he died, he would have played the hell out of Steven Avery.

I hope they do make a movie. I think it would be huge. But I highly doubt that Brad Pitt will want to play you, Steven Avery. But you never know. Robert De Niro gained 60 pounds to play the older Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull and it served him well. Maybe Brad Pitt will do the same. There's an Oscar in it for him and he could use the good publicity right about now.
