Sports Fans Really Love This Minnesota Stadium
This professional sports stadium here in Minnesota just ranked as one of the 10 best in the country!
It's always nice to see our beloved Minnesota institutions get some national love, isn't it? I mean, sure, we think they're the best-- unless we're talking about the Metrodome, of course-- but it's cool to see that other sports fans from around the country also think our venues are pretty cool.
And that's certainly the case with the results of a new 2022 USA Stadium Report. It's an annual report from sports site, Betsperts, that investigates the venues of America’s biggest sports teams to reveal which are the highest-rated and which are the most searched for on Google.
Now, keep in mind that this survey has ranked ALL pro sports stadiums in the U.S. And, the report says, there are a LOT of them out there-- like 117 in total, when you consider all stadiums that are home to teams in the NFL, Major League Baseball, and Major League Soccer.
So when I saw that our own Target Field, which is home, of course, to our Minnesota Twins, made the survey, I thought that was a pretty big achievement. And, when I saw that Target Field was rated #10 out of ALL pro sports stadiums in the country, I thought that was REALLY good!
Sure enough, the Betsperts 2022 survey gives Target Field, which opened on April 12th, 2010, an overall rating of 4.63, which puts it right between Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Indians Guardians and Amway Center, where the Orlando Magic play their home games. I have to agree: From its great views of both the field and Minneapolis, as well as the great food and drinks available, I think Target Field is a GREAT place to watch a game!
In case you're curious, Lambeau Field, the home of the Green Bay Packers since 1957, was ranked as the best pro sports venue overall in the 2022 stadium report. It received a 4.93 rating in this year's survey, putting it at number one on the list.
Other Minnesota stadiums making the survey in 2022 include Allianz Field in St. Paul (#28), home to the Minnesota United FC Loons; Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul (#38), home to the Minnesota Wild; and U.S. Bank Stadium (#73), home to the Minnesota Vikings.
You can check the full survey list HERE. And speaking of the Vikings, have you seen what former General Manager Rick Spielman's house looks like? Check out the pictures of his Eden Prairie home, which he sold earlier this year after the team let him go.
