Each year the Wall Street Journal and Times Higher Education release their rankings for the best colleges and universities in the country. The rankings for 2021 came out last Thursday and Carleton College in Northfield, MN ranked in the top 40!

Carleton College has consistently been called "the Harvard of the Midwest" and it seems like they earned that title with this ranking. Actually, according to Bring Me the News, "Carleton is consistently ranked among the best liberal arts colleges in the country".

According to this year's Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings Carleton College is the 40th best college/university in the country. Other Minnesota schools that ranked in the top 100 are Macalester College in St. Paul coming in at number 83 and the University of Minnesota Twin Cities came in at 95.
