Caledonia, MN (KROC AM News) - A Houston, Minnesota man survived a crash in a rural area near Caledonia Thursday and then had to walk a mile and a half to get help.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 33-year-old Adam Olson was driving his pickup truck on a minimum maintenance road known as Hauge Hill Rd around 1:00 PM when he lost control on an icy curve and crashed down a deep ravine.

He was taken by ambulance to a La Crosse hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The State Patrol says Olson’s truck and sander box were a total loss
