“Slim Chance” Minnesota Kids Go Back to School This Year
Over 800,000 students are currently learning from home and that probably won't change anytime soon. Distance learning is currently scheduled through May 4th, but at least 11 other states have already closed their schools for the rest of the school year, and that could happen here soon too. Governor Walz was quoted by twincities.com saying there's a good chance Minnesota will do the same, “I think it’s a relatively strong possibility that that will happen here, too.”
Late last week, Minnesota Department of Education Commissioner Heather Mueller provided an update and said her team is hoping students will get to go back, but Governor Walz said the chance of kids and teachers returning to school this year is "slim."
