Should Minnesota Say Goodnight to Daylight Saving Time? [POLL]
It's about time to do away with it, right? We do it every Spring and Fall. Spring ahead, fall back but why?
I guess (or so I've heard) the main reason was a fuel conservation thing during World War I. The thinking was that if we had more sunlight during our waking hours, people wouldn't burn as much fuel at night. Well, the times, they have changed. I think we'd be better off without it.
I don't even know if a state can just opt out of using it. I suppose they could. There's already a couple states that don't go by it. Do we really even need to do this anymore? It's idea is very antiquated. It's kind of a bummer when it's 4:45PM and it's already dark out in the early part of Winter.
What do you think?
