See the Classic Thriller ‘The Birds’ Free In the Park On Saturday the 21st!
This Saturday it's the Rochester Downtown Alliance's last Movie in the Park of the year, and they're ending on a scary note with Alfred Hitchcock's, "The Birds." Made in 1963, it is pretty tame by today's standards, but the RDA still recommends respecting the PG-13 rating. After all, it is about birds that just start attacking people.
An ebony night descends on the autumn horizon. The faint flapping of wings can be heard, only to grow louder and louder, closer and closer. Fear not, though: these sounds will be contained to the screen during Movies in the Park presented by Premier Banks September 21. The last feature film of the season is the classic drama, The Birds. Here's a preview guide of what will keep you on the edge of your seat and what will get you out of your seat! (RDA BLOG)
As always, it's in Rochester's Central Park and there's the movie and a lot more. Food, drink, and fun stuff for your kids to do. The Channel One will be there; for $10 the first 100 people can hand paint a ceramic bowl for their big fundraiser, Empty Bowls. Lawns games, too.
FYI: Activites and food kick off at 7 PM, and usually the movie starts at 9 PM, but it's getting dark way earlier now, so best to get there around 7.
