The National Weather Service this morning upgraded what had been a blizzard watch for most of southeastern Minnesota to a blizzard warning

that will take effect at 9 a.m. tomorrow.  The Weather Service says the storm could dump 6 - 12 inches of snow across the area by tomorrow night.   The Weather Service is also very concerned about strong winds that will produce significant blowing and drifting snow into Friday.  After the storm moves out, another round of cold air will move in as high temps are expected to be only in the teens through the middle of next week.
