Rural Rochester Woman Spots Would-Be Burglars
Rochester MN (KROC AM News) - A rural Olmsted County woman spotted two men by her detached garage Sunday morning and, suspecting they were involved in criminal activity, called 911.
Deputies sent to the residence in the 7200 block of Dresser Drive NE around 6:30 a.m. apprehended one of the men. The other man fled on foot and was tracked for more than 6 miles before he was apprehended. Both men are in their 20’s and were taken to jail. Some items the men had taken from the garage were found outside the building and they are expected to be charged with burglary.
A third man was found nearby in a car and was also arrested. When he later admitted ingesting some methamphetamine, he was transferred to St. Mary’s for treatment. He is also expected to be charged.
