Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – A woman was arrested Saturday night after a rural Rochester homeowner found her in a bedroom in the house.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says a woman returned to the home in the 4200 block of 8th St SW around 9:30 PM and found the house had been ransacked. She then discovered a light on in one of the lower level bedrooms and the door was locked.

The woman called 911 and deputies arrested 37-year-old Nicole Martin. She was apparently under the influence of methamphetamine and told the deputies she locked herself in the room after being confronted by two German Shepherds.

She is also suspected of stealing mail from a nearby home.
