Rochester’s Roo Yori Back on ‘American Ninja Warrior’
He blew through the qualifying course earlier this year, beat the wall and sounded the buzzer in Atlanta. And now Rochester's own K-9 Ninja is back on Monday night's episode of American Ninja Warrior.
Rochester's own Roo Yori is, of course, famous in these parts-- and across the country-- for competing as the K-9 Ninja on NBC's monster hit show, American Ninja Warrior. Since he first burst onto the ANW scene over four years ago, he's been both competing on the show, as well as raising money for his own foundation that helps find forever homes for deserving dogs.
Earlier this year, Roo was back at it, competing in the American Ninja Warrior course when it was in Atlanta. Now only did he smash the course and sound the buzzer (which, of course, means that he earned the right to compete in the Atlanta City Finals), he was also presented a $20,000 check for his Wallace The Pit Bull Foundation from the producers of the movie, The Secret Lives of Pets 2!
And, Monday night, Roo is back and once again on national TV when NBC broadcasts the American Ninja Warrior city finals competition! Seeing as they already taped the episode earlier this year, Roo will be right here in the Med City, hosting a watching party for the show at Dooley's Pub downtown. (So, yeah, he already knows how it turns out-- but he can't say anything about it, of course, until the episode airs.)
Plus, Roo has also been raising even MORE money for homeless dogs in need, by soliciting donations from dog-lovers and fans based on how many of the 10 ANW obstacles he successfully conquers on Monday's show.
Go get, 'em Roo! We'll be watching, and cheering on, not only one of the best Ninjas out there, but one of the nicest guys, as well!
