Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A violent home invasion in Rochester was broken up by a woman swinging a car jack.

Rochester Police officers responded to a residence in the Oak Terrace Estates Mobile Home Park along Marion Road Southeast yesterday afternoon to investigate a report of a break-in. A brother and sister were inside the trailer home and told the officers a man had broken in while they were sitting in the living room and began punching the 32-year-old brother. The sister indicated she responded by striking the intruder several times on the head with a car jack.

A Police spokesman says the alleged intruder was identified as 27-year-old Juan Vasquez. He was later located and taken to St. Marys Hospital to be treated for the injuries caused by the blows from the car jack.
