I miss those comfy heated recliners and stuffing my face with popcorn - I did try to support the Marcus Theatre in Rochester during the first shutdown by ordering concession packs from their website - but mostly I miss being able to unplug and escape reality for a couple of hours with my family. Minnesota theaters were allowed to reopen on January 11th, and Rochester’s Marcus Theatre is celebrating by offering a very unique and very affordable opportunity for you and your friends, family, or co-workers. You can rent out an entire auditorium for a private screening for only $99! I have no idea how much it would normally cost to rent out an auditorium, but $99 seems like an incredible deal to me. On their site, they explain you can “invite up to 20 guests to socialize safely in your own, personal auditoriums!” They can accommodate larger groups too – get the details here.
