Rochester, MN ( KROC AM News) -Two teenagers were arrested Monday in Rochester as suspects in a robbery involving another teenager.

Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says a 17-year-old Rochester girl was walking in the 1100 block of 9th St NW around 3:30 PM when a car pulled up and stopped. Two males in the vehicle asked if she wanted to buy some marijuana.

The teenager told police after she got into the vehicle the two occupants threatened her with knives and demanded her money. Moilanen says the teen complied and after she got out, the vehicle drove off.

The teen said she then called her boyfriend and they drove around until they spotted the car and called police. The suspects were apprehended a short while later.

Moilanen says both suspects are 17-years-old. One is from Byron, the other from Mantorville.
