This idea has been well received in some parts of the country, and it might be gaining traction here in Rochester. Some area schools are testing the idea of a no homework policy for local students.

According to KTTC, Rochester Public Schools Superintendent Michael Muñoz. said, “What we want to see is if the amount of homework or homework or not, does it have an impact on student achievement, or not?”

Understandably, the students were both excited and confused, but most are warming up and getting used to the idea. They like that they don't have to worry about the pressure to get it done. For now, it's just a pilot program only occurring in some classrooms.
