Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police officers found more than they expected Monday while looking for a gun.

Officers were trying to find the shotgun used by a Rochester man to threaten some patrons of a downtown bar early Monday. They obtained a search warrant to check an apartment at 317 S Broadway and found a shotgun and a handgun.

They also became suspicious about other activity in the apartment and obtained another warrant. They found a grow operation involving hallucinogenic mushrooms and had to call the Fire Department’s hazmat team to seize the evidence.

The tenant wasn’t arrested but could face charges.
