Rochester Police Arrest Suspected Serial Exposer
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man suspected of exposing himself to several women in the St Marys Hospital area has been arrested.
Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says 19-year-old Zachariah Ahmed was taken into custody at his place of employment Wednesday.
Moilanen says he is expected to be arraigned Friday on 8 separate cases.
The most recent was reported Monday. A woman called police around 6:30 PM to report an exposer in the 500 block of 1st St SW.
The first incident was reported Sept. 6th.
The most aggressive incident was reported Nov 19th when a woman said a man grabbed her from behind while exposing himself.
Moilanen says investigators had started to focus on Ahmed as the suspect earlier. An officer who made contact with him after the Monday incident noticed he was wearing the same clothing as the reported exposer.
Moilanen says Ahmed is expected to face charges that include indecent exposure, stalking and 4th-degree criminal sexual conduct.
