Drive In To See Blockbuster Movies All Summer At The Olmsted County Fairgrounds

Drive-in theaters had pretty much died off until last year when social distancing became a thing and people were desperate for things to do. Temporary drive-in theaters popped up all over the country and the people that attended loved the experience.

I think it's so much fun loading up the family, grabbing snacks, and watching a movie under the stars and I'm super excited to see we'll get to do it again this summer. The largest outdoor screen in town is set up at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds and organizers have just announced the movies that will be shown through June. Keep scrolling to see what's playing.

Brandon Helgeson, the founder of Rochester My Home, said all profits from the drive-in theater help local non-profits, "We were able to raise funds for Channel One and other organizations (last year). Along with that, we created a social activities fund for area PTAs and PTSAs that they can access a fund match to put on events and activities for our local school-age children. It’s important after the year we have all faced that we continue to find ways to give back to our community in a positive manner.”
